Melissa Millour is the Owner & Unique Event artist at Be YOUnique Events, LLC. A St. Petersburg, Florida native raised by her loving Puerto Rican parents who travels to the island often to visit her other family members. She currently lives in Riverview Florida and is often found at local coffee shops sipping on a Mocha Latte while completing her tasks. In her spare time, Melissa plays soccer, reads books, travels, and dances salsa with her lovable French husband, Alexander. She also loves being the cool aunt and spending time with her family and friends! She attends Holy Family Catholic Church and is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Melissa has a Bachelors degree in Resort & Hospitality Management with a concentration in Event Management. She is also a Certified Wedding & Event Planner (CWEP) from Lovegevity’s Wedding Planning Institute. She has worked for various luxury hospitality companies such as The Ritz-Carlton, Marriott, The Don CeSar, Omni Hotels & Resorts, Royal Wellington, and more. With experience as an Assistant Banquet Director, Regional Event Manager, Food & Beverage Manager, and Venue Coordinator, she views each vendor as an artist in their own crafts and believes each is integral in creating event masterpieces.

The company draws from her rich background in the arts. Inspired by her mother, a true logistician, her father, a copper artist, and the creative, community-oriented environment she grew up in, Melissa developed a passion for bringing artistic vision to life in the world of event planning. She recognized that coordinating and designing events requires a similar attention to detail, creativity, and conceptual thinking as traditional artistry. Just as artists create custom pieces tailored to their clients’ desires, Melissa personalizes each event to reflect the unique vision of her clients, turning their ideas into beautifully executed occasions.

With 10+ years in hospitality and event planning, Melissa honed her skills in design, logistics, vendor relations, and client care. She has planned weddings across Florida, Puerto Rico, and beyond, always emphasizing sustainability, local partnerships, and classy details that make every celebration unique. She is also the Events Director for the Women’s Professional Network (WPN) Foundation Board in Tampa Bay, Florida. Be YOUnique Events has also been featured in 2026 Wed Society® Tampa + St. Pete Book of Weddings, VoyageTampa, CanvasRebel, Boho Weddings, and a speaker at National Association of Wedding Professionals - Gulf Coast Chapter.
